The National Defense Academy is an iconic institution and hallmark of global excellence in the sphere of military education. Over the years it has emerged as a unique military academy, attracting the best of youth from our nation and also from friendly foreign countries and transforming them into officers and gentlemen.

National Defense Academy and Naval Academy are the two pioneering academies which trains the candidates for the direct officer rank entry into the prestigious defense sectors of the country viz Army, Air force and Navy. Every year, UPSC, on the behalf of these two academies conducted the written examination two times in an academic year. The examination is conducted for around 375 seats at one time.
